Welcome to Routan Owners Club!

First, Let's start off with a few FAQs...

Q. Where did the name Routan come from?
A. The name suggests a union of America and Volkswagen. The first part of the word comes from the English word "route". The End of the word is from Volkswagen's European Vans, the Sharan and the Touran. Put them together and it means Classy Big American van that rips curves to shreds.

Q. Is the van all Volkswagen?
A. No, The van is build on the Chrysler Town and Country Platform in Canada. But the styling, fit and finish is all Volkswagen.

Q. What's Ken's (aka Fast Freddie / xinnek) opinion of the new van?
A. This is the most exciting product to come out of VW since the introduction of the GTI. Few people realize that I'm a Van guy. This van is going to change all of the rules. Vans have been people movers, this will be as big as the VW Bus. Just look at it, it's fast standing still.

Hi folks.   I suppose we can trade speculation about option packages until pricing gets announced next month...

It's kind of funny -- never thought of myself as a VW guy, but here I am again.   My other car is a Phaeton, so I suppose I'm a sucker for strange VW market...

We're starting off with just two boards to keep things lively. As we get bigger, I'll sort the threads and put them into new boards. BTW, welcome to The other ROC  Wink
